The Alloy GCR2000LC.50 is a versatile Gigabit Ethernet Media Converter designed for high-performance network environments. It supports seamless media conversion between copper and singlemode fibre optic cabling, featuring a 10/100/1000Base-T RJ-45 copper port and a 1000Base-ZX LC singlemode fibre port capable of distances up to 50 kilometers.

This device operates either as a standalone unit or as a slide-in module compatible with Alloy's DCR12 12-slot Media Converter Chassis, providing flexible deployment options. The GCR2000LC.50 supports advanced Link Fault Passthrough (LFP) in both Far-end-Fault (FEF) and Forced Modes (FM), enhancing network reliability by synchronously signaling link status between connected devices.

Powered via an external plugpack or USB connection, it boasts a rugged, compact, all-metal enclosure. Onboard DIP switches enable manual configuration of LFP settings and jumbo frame support. Four LED indicators provide real-time status monitoring for simplified network management.
