Featuring dual SIM slots that provide failover and load balancing, the RUTX12 supports a wide range of networking demands. It integrates Wave-2 802.11ac dual-band Wi-Fi (2.4 GHz & 5 GHz) and Bluetooth Low Energy for versatile wireless communication. The router also includes a GNSS (GPS) antenna connector for precise location tracking.

With five Gigabit Ethernet ports (1 WAN configurable as LAN and 4 LAN), a quad-core ARM CPU, 256 MB RAM, and 256 MB flash storage, the RUTX12 ensures powerful performance and flexible configuration. Its rugged aluminium housing supports industrial environments, DIN-rail mounting, a wide input voltage range (9–50 V DC), and passive PoE on LAN1.
