The Teltonika TRB142 is an ultra-compact, energy-efficient industrial LTE Cat 1 gateway engineered for robust IoT and M2M applications. Featuring a rugged aluminium housing (74.5 x 25 x 64.4 mm) and IP30 ingress rating, it ensures reliable operation in harsh industrial environments with an extended temperature range of -40°C to +75°C.

This gateway offers 4G/LTE Cat 1 connectivity with fallback to 3G and 2G networks, suitable for mission-critical real-time data transmission. It includes a versatile RS232 DB9 serial port for seamless integration with industrial equipment and telemetry devices.

The TRB142 supports key industrial protocols including DNP3 (Station/Outstation), Modbus (TCP & RTU), and DLMS/COSEM, enabling broad compatibility with existing SCADA and smart grid systems. Powered by Teltonika’s RutOS, a secure OpenWrt-based firmware, it delivers advanced networking capabilities such as VPN (IPsec, OpenVPN, WireGuard), firewall, SSH, SNMP, MQTT, and automated SIM/APN management.

Additional features include data forwarding via HTTP(S), MQTT, Azure MQTT, and customizable LUA scripting for protocol conversion and automation. Remote device management is simplified with user-friendly interfaces like Web UI, SSH, TR-069, and integration with Teltonika RMS for firmware and configuration updates over the air (FOTA).

Designed for industrial power standards, it accepts 9–30 VDC input through a 4-pin industrial power connector with reverse polarity and surge protection. The package includes a 9 W PSU, magnetic mount LTE antenna with SMA connector, micro-USB cable, hex key, and quick start guide.
