Operating in the 2.4 GHz frequency band (2412–2462 MHz), this compact device features an integrated directional antenna with a gain of approximately 10.4–11.2 dBi and a precise beamwidth of 55° horizontal and 53° vertical, delivering outstanding wireless coverage for distances exceeding 13 kilometers.

Built around a robust Atheros MIPS 24Kc 400 MHz CPU and equipped with 32 MB SDRAM and 8 MB flash memory, the NanoStation M2 runs Ubiquiti's AirOS/airMAX firmware, offering enhanced throughput, scalability, and network reliability. Dual 10/100 Ethernet ports allow simple integration and network expansion, with one port supporting software-enabled passive Power over Ethernet (PoE) passthrough to power external devices.
