The Ubiquiti NanoStationAC Loco (Loco5AC) is a compact and robust 5 GHz airMAX AC radio designed for long-range point-to-point (PtP) and point-to-multipoint (PtMP) wireless links. Featuring an integrated radio and antenna in the classic NanoStation Loco form factor, it delivers real-world TCP/IP throughput exceeding 450 Mbps and supports a link range of 10+ kilometers, making it highly suitable for ISP deployments and outdoor wireless networking.

Powered by the updated proprietary airMAX AC chipset, the Loco5AC supports higher order modulation schemes (including 256QAM) for enhanced spectral efficiency. It also incorporates a dedicated 2.4 GHz management Wi-Fi radio for seamless setup and management using Ubiquiti's UISP platform and mobile app.

The device includes a high-gain 13 dBi antenna with dual-linear polarization and around 45° beamwidth, supporting flexible channel bandwidths from 10 MHz up to 80 MHz across the worldwide 5150–5875 MHz frequency range. Housed in a UV-stabilized outdoor enclosure with an extended operating temperature range (-40 to 70 °C), the NanoStationAC Loco ensures durability and reliable performance in harsh environments.

Additional features include a single Gigabit Ethernet port with passive 24V PoE power (PoE adapter sold separately), LED indicators for power, Ethernet, and signal strength to assist in optimal alignment, and advanced surge/ESD protection. The unit operates on the airOS 8 firmware which offers comprehensive RF analytics and management capabilities.
