It features a dedicated 3.5" HDD bay for local video storage, integrated with a powerful 6-port gigabit PoE switch that simplifies camera connections and power delivery. This device supports up to 6 ultra-high-definition 4K cameras, 8 2K cameras, or 15 Full HD cameras, making it ideal for comprehensive security coverage.

Equipped with a quad-core ARM Cortex-A55 processor running at 1.7 GHz and 4 GB of memory, the UNVR-Instant provides smooth management and recording capabilities using the UniFi Protect platform. It includes an HDMI port acting as a viewport, allowing local live video monitoring on a connected display without the need for a separate client device.

A total PoE power budget of 40 W enables powering multiple cameras directly from the device, with each PoE RJ45 port delivering up to 15.4 W (PSE). The internal AC/DC 60 W power supply supports universal AC input (100–240 VAC).

Designed for flexible installation, the unit can be desktop mounted or attached to walls or DIN rails with included mounting kits. Its durable polycarbonate enclosure weighs just 1.04 kg (2.3 lbs) and operates reliably in environments from 0 to 40 °C and 5 to 95% humidity (non-condensing).
